Who We Are

We (George and Elizabeth) started farming because we care deeply about the food we are eating.

We are, first and foremost, animal lovers and believe that the industrialized food system is not only broken, but cruel. We want to ensure our animals know nothing but love and compassion during their lives. We want to put food on the table and in our bodies that we are proud of.

We take our role as land stewards seriously. We work on 25 acres in Earlysville, Va. Since starting our farm, 9 of those acres have been put into a conservation program to help protect our local waterways, and those beyond. We manage our vegetable fields with thoughtful tillage to ensure we are combatting compaction as well as erosion. Our vegetables are grown without the use of herbicides or synthetic pesticides.
